What Information Is Collected:

MovieNetworks is a software that, once downloaded and installed, allows users to access and view various forms of digital media. In order to properly download and use the software you will need to become a member, and this will require that you provide MovieNetworks with certain personal and non-personal information. MovieNetworks will collect personal information such as your name, e-mail address and physical address. MovieNetworks may also collect non-personal information such as your interests, movie genre preference and other such similar data.

Unique Numerical Identifier:

Upon installation of MovieNetworks, your computer is assigned a unique numerical identifier. This unique identifier allows MovieNetworks's servers to measure and report aggregate information (such as the number of people who read an advertisement, or the number of times an advertisement is seen) to advertisers. It also allows MovieNetworks to collect information regarding your use of and interaction with advertising so that we can deliver advertising content that is more relevant to your own particular wants and needs, and avoid subjecting you to overly repetitive ads.

Personal Information:

Personally identifiable information refers to data that tells us specifically who you are, such as your name, e-mail and postal address, which may be collected in addition to the anonymous data described above. MovieNetworks may collect personal information in the following ways:

Software Download:

When you choose to download the software you will be asked to provide some or all of the following information: your name, postal address, ZIP Code and email address. Furthermore, if you choose to download a for-pay version of the software, you will also be asked to provide your credit card information. Please note that different products and services offered by MovieNetworks may require different levels of personally identifiable information, and, accordingly, depending on which product or service you are choosing, you will be asked to enter more or less personally identifiable information, than the ones listed above.

MovieNetworks may also use "cookie" technology to monitor user activity within the MovieNetworks software application. MovieNetworks uses the information collected (both anonymous and personal) to personalize and enhance the content you see on the application, such as movies, photos, news, trailers, advertisements and more.

MovieNetworks collects anonymous data and shares it with third-party advertisers in an aggregate form. We will disclose to those advertisers the numbers of users who have certain demographic characteristics and the number of those people who have seen and "clicked" on a particular display. We will also disclose to those advertisers the overall demographics available regarding who saw and "clicked" on their advertisement. MovieNetworks may use the aggregate data to perform statistical analyses of the collective characteristics and behavior of our registered users and visitors, to measure user demographics and interests, and to analyze how and where best to use resources. Please note that we may share this aggregate information with third-party companies.

MovieNetworks may collect an aggregate list of search terms from its search services. This information is collected anonymously and used primarily for the purposes of product development, monitoring, and improvement, as well as targeted advertising. Please note, however, that we may share this anonymous information with third-party companies.

MovieNetworks may use an individual registered user's data to "pre-populate" online forms that are displayed for the purpose of collecting additional individual data by MovieNetworks, selected third-party sites, and/or sponsors and advertisers. MovieNetworks may, from time to time, use your information to contact you about changes or enhancements to our products and services or issues regarding your account.

Payments:

Some version(s) of the software will require payment and, accordingly, may require you to use your credit card, in order to properly purchase the software. Any credit card information will be used to collect the software purchase price, as indicate in the webpage or interface via which you downloaded the software. User will be informed at the time of purchase how much their card will be billed. Please review the terms & conditions for further detail regarding any payments. MovieNetworks may also offer the user other applicable payment options, as payment alternatives, such as special trial offer discounts, or the option of having their credit card billed over two or more installments, versus one payment. Please review the terms & conditions, and the webpage, advertisement or interface via which you are downloading the software in regards to how much and how your credit card will be billed.

Advertisements:

You agree that we have the right to run advertisements and promotions without compensation to you. The timing, frequency, placement and extent of advertising within the pages comprising your MovieNetworks account is subject to change and shall be determined by us in our sole discretion. Your business dealings with, or participation in promotions of, advertisers found on or through MovieNetworks, including payment and delivery of related goods or services, and any other terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with such dealings, are solely between you and the advertiser.

With whom does the MovieNetworks share the information that is collected?:

MovieNetworks will sometimes share personally identifiable information with third-party companies and organizations. We may also maintain private label relationships where a third-party company provides us with technology, services and/or content. Whenever you provide registration information on co-branded or private label areas, that data may be shared with the third-party company providing the service. No third-party sites or services are covered by this Privacy Policy.

MovieNetworks will disclose information about individual users to governmental or judicial authorities or law enforcement agencies, or to other individuals or entities in response to subpoena, court order, or other legal process. In matters involving a danger to personal or public safety, MovieNetworks may voluntarily provide information to appropriate governmental authorities.

If MovieNetworks is acquired by or merged with another company, MovieNetworks may transfer personally-identifiable information about you to that company.

What About Software Updates

Due to the ever-changing nature of media players, browsers, and other software distributed on the Internet, MovieNetworks has included an auto update feature to ensure that you have the most recently released version of the MovieNetworks software. You acknowledge that MovieNetworks or parties appointed by MovieNetworks may from time to time provide programming fixes, updates and upgrades to you, including automatic updates to MovieNetworks, through automatic electronic dissemination and other means. You consent to such automatic updates and agree that the terms and conditions of this Agreement will apply to all such updates. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, any new features that augment or enhance the current software, including the release of new MovieNetworks properties, shall be subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you should elect not to have your software updated at any future time, MovieNetworks shall not be responsible for any incompatibilities that may arise on your computer and conflicts may occur with other software applications that may already be installed on your computer. The MovieNetworks software will report back to our servers what applications may be running on your system and will resolve these conflicts whenever possible. This will make our software more reliable and provide you with products and services that are compatible with your current system settings.

What If I Un-Install the Software

If, after installing, using, or copying MovieNetworks, you decide that you no longer wish to share volunteered anonymous demographic information, you may perform a complete un-installation of MovieNetworks. This can be accomplished by using the add/remove function within your Windows operating system. Completely un-installing any and all products incorporating MovieNetworks technology will prevent the MovieNetworks technology from collecting and transmitting any volunteered anonymous demographic information about you and your use of the Internet. It will not, however, prevent MovieNetworks from sharing, renting, leasing, selling, or otherwise making available to third-party marketing or other entities, at the sole discretion of MovieNetworks, volunteered information that has already been collected.

Any and all personal information that you provide MovieNetworks is at your own personal choosing. You may decide not to enter your personal information. Please note though, that you cannot properly download and use the software unless you provide MovieNetworks with all the required information. In no event does MovieNetworks collect personal information that you did not voluntarily provide us.

Changes to this Privacy Policy:

By installing, using, or copying MovieNetworks you acknowledge that you have read, understood, given your informed consent to, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is subject to change by MovieNetworks at any time. Notice to members shall be made by adding any changes to this Privacy Policy document, which will remain posted at the Website. Members agree to review this Privacy Policy from time to time for changes and updates. Notice of any revisions to this Privacy Policy shall be considered effective when transmitted to the MovieNetworks servers. The latest date of any change or modification to the Privacy Policy shall be posted at the bottom of this Privacy Policy date, and on the front of any website that contains a link to this Privacy Policy.

Please be aware that MovieNetworks advertisers, and Web sites that have links in the software or our network may collect personally identifying information about you. This Privacy Policy does not cover the information practices of linking Web sites or content. MovieNetworks does not have any responsibility or liability for any information, contents, communications or materials available on other sites or services.

Children's Privacy:

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) of 1998 provides safeguards to protect children who use the Internet by regulating the online collection of personal information from children under the age of 13. Protecting the privacy of children is VERY important to us. For these reasons we do not structure any part of software application to attract anyone under the age of 13.
